I’ve been public speaking personally and professionally for about a decade, but it really started as a 5th grader cast in a play about farm life. If you are looking for a speaker to talk about farm life from the eyes of a 5th grader, well look no further.
I started teaching the Bible at a young age as well. It started with Sunday school classes and VBS and then youth group devotionals, and eventually I was the devotion leader for 12 of my peers at a Christian college. (Clearwater Christian College to be specific. Go Cougars!)
In my twenties, I had the privilege to teach verse by verse through Genesis for five years in a ladies Bible Study. We covered a few other books, but the bulk of the time we spent in that rich book that starts it all, Genesis.
Professionally, I have worked in the field of Community Outreach for two different adoption agencies. This allowed me to present educational training to volunteers, nurses, and social workers.
Being a member of a local, professional Improv team for 15 years has also kept me on my toes, and keeps me from taking myself too seriously.
All these “qualifications” aside, my heart is for encouraging women. And for all my fancy speaking, it’s worth nothing if I don’t use it to tell women who God is, that He loves them, and that He has so much in store for their hearts.
I am passionate about equipping women to deal with neuroses of life and body image issues by diving into God’s word. I enjoy teaching God’s word and talking about life with honesty and humor. And I’d love to share that with whatever community you are a part of big or small.
